Finstock is a village and civil parish of around 800 inhabitants, located about 5 miles north of Witney and approximately 15 miles north-west of Oxford, England. The parish is bounded to the north-east by the River Evenlode, to the south-east partly by the course of Akeman Street Roman road and on other sides by field boundaries. Finstock supports a lively community life: we have a popular village pub, our primary school recently received an Ofsted rating of ‘outstanding’ (2024) and our village hall is busy with a wide range of regular events and activities. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and provides the perfect location for an afternoon stroll, or something longer if you have the time.
